I speak both English and French fluently. As such, I offer all psychotherapy services (including individual, couple and sex therapy) in English, French, or bilingually. Psychological assessment services are available in English and bilingually.
Unfortunately, I am unable to offer assessments entirely in French at this time.
Neurodiversity-affirming means embracing and valuing the natural variations in how people think, learn, and experience the world. It recognizes that differences, such as those associated with autism, ADHD, and other neurodivergent profiles, are not deficits or disorders to be fixed but unique aspects of identity to be understood and supported. This contrasts with a medicalized approach, where neurodiverse experiences are viewed as disorders to be treated in order for individuals to conform to societal expectations for how people should behave.
Certainly! Finding the right service can be confusing. Reach out to schedule a 15-minute introduction call so I can understand how I might best help you and suggest a course of action.
I am ethically not able to provide both individual and couple therapy for the same client(s). This is to ensure that each therapeutic relationship maintains its integrity and focus.
If you need both types of support, we can discuss your priorities and decide together which service I would provide. Once that is determined, I can help connect you with another qualified professional to provide the other type of therapy. This collaborative approach ensures you receive the most effective and ethically sound care for all your needs.
Your first few therapy sessions are an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin exploring what brings you to therapy. We’ll discuss your reasons for seeking support, your goals, and any challenges you’ve been facing. I’ll ask questions about your background, experiences, and what you hope to gain from therapy, but you’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable for you.
These early sessions are also a chance for you to ask any questions about the therapy process and decide if I’m the right fit for your needs. Together, we’ll set the stage for a collaborative and supportive relationship to help you move toward your goals.
Life happens! If you need to reschedule or cancel your session, I would appreciate being notified as soon as possible.
I require at least 48 hours’ notice to accommodate changes. Late cancellations or missed appointments will incur a fee, as this time has been reserved specifically for you.
Sessions are typically 50-minutes, which is the industry standard. However, longer or shorter sessions can also be scheduled at a pro-rated fee. Reach out so we can discuss this together and decide if longer or shorter sessions would be appropriate!
No. If one partner cannot attend, then the session will be cancelled. This ensures that we maintain the fair, collaborative and balanced approach needed to effectively support your relationship.
A code is needed to access the second floor of the building, where my office is. This code changes regularly. The current code is included in your latest reminder email.
If we have a virtual session scheduled, you should receive an email from the Jane platform approximately 30 minutes ahead of our appointment time. The email will contain the link to the online call. If you don't receive the link, email me and I'll help you troubleshoot!
Don't see the answers to your questions here? Contact me and I'll be happy to answer your questions by email or over a 15-minute introduction call!
